Creating with the forge

I grew up seeing my mother wearing jewellery and the sparkling jewellery looked so beautiful and mysterious. I am a girl and girls are naturally beautiful, so I have expressed a deep interest in jewellery since I was a child. During these years of study, I have learnt various jewellery skills such as metalwork, 3D modelling and the use of special materials. Because of my strong drawing skills, I am able to draw with a variety of materials and present my ideas in a more professional way, (also in 3D modelling) and incorporate drawing into jewellery.

I have excellent 3D spatial imagination ability because of my strong art background. I have designed and made a complete set of jewellery using 3d modelling and 3d printing materials.

I am a big fan of creating through 3d modelling and this is really one of the areas I want to investigate, I want to combine 3d printing with jewellery design to create more shapes and materials, more sizes and more ways of wearing jewellery.

I hope that after I finish my studies, I can join an established jewellery design company for an internship and learn and discuss with mature jewellery designers. I hope that the jewellery they see is not just a cold piece of jewellery, but a communication tool with feelings and warmth. Because my jewellery tells my own story, I hope that they can listen and understand my story by wearing my jewellery and telling their story to others.
