Crysta Dela Cuesta is a Visual Communication student at the Royal College of Art.

Crysta Dela Cuesta (she/her) is a Filipino-American multidisciplinary artist and graphic and communication designer from Los Angeles, California. She is currently pursuing her MA in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art. Working in graphic design, painting, and other disciplines, she is passionate about finding play in her practice, collaborating with fellow creatives, and exploring various media, themes, techniques, and visual styles that allow her to communicate and engage with a wide audience. Before studying at the RCA, Crysta obtained Associate Degrees in Graphic & Multimedia Design and Studio Arts from College of the Canyons and a Bachelor's Degree in Art with an emphasis in Communication Design from California State University Northridge. She is a Snap Design Academy alumna and a Royal College of Art Graduate Diploma alumna.

Crysta’s current works aim to confront the deep-effects of colonialism and colonisation on contemporary Filipino culture, to celebrate Asian-American and Filipino culture, and to empower children of strict, ethnic, and immigrant households. Her research involves challenging her own colonial mentality, investigating texts by intersectional feminists and Asian-American and Filipino writers, theorists, and creatives, and having open conversations about culture and community with others.
