!!As a Taiwanese born Canadian, I have lived in Vancouver, Canada for almost two decades. After graduating from a local art college in Vancouver with an Interior Design degree, I was quite fortunate to secure a position at a local company specializing in contemporary, high-end Italian design: Livingspace. Livingspace carries an extensive range of famous furniture lines including lighting products and kitchen/storage solutions. These include Minotti, Molteni & C, Poltrona Frau, Living Divani, Baxter, Arclinea, and more.
At Livingspace, I focused on furniture package curation where I bring my Interior Design training into play through comprehensive presentation packages and mood boards, finishes selections, and budgeting. I work within AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop to generate the required presentation documents helping clients to have the most precise possible understanding of the design and furnishings proposed. I have learned a great deal from my experience at Livingspace; most importantly, I have gained real-life insight into client needs and work within budgets and timelines.
During the pandemic, I started to notice some shortcomings and restraints in my work even with eight years of combined education and interior design experience. In light of this, I have chosen to take a break from work and come to the UK to study at one of the world's most respected design schools while working part-time at Minotti London, the flagship store of an Italian furniture brand, in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the working in London.
