Created by students from Architecture, Fashion, Painting, and Service Design, Museum of the Dead is the design for a multilayered art therapeutic workshop surrounding the subject of grief. Our workshop aims to help and support bereaved individuals through different acts of making and communication that create connections to the past, and help them to better understand the emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one.
Our outcome is presented as a blueprint that brings together our research, as well as documenting a test workshop which we as the developers participated in. Here we see the possibilities for our concept to be implemented within public galleries and other arts institutions to help care for and support the bereaved.
