E-CLO

E-CLO is an augmented reality application, currently in prototype form, which aims to challenge consumer behavior towards fast fashion. When fully realized, E-CLO can be used by shoppers within stores to gain an understanding of the environmental and ethical impact of an article of clothing. Using the prototype, the consumer can hover over fast fashion and sustainable garments to understand the energy and water consumption, as well as the back-end processes needed to create these garments. In our project, our group created a sustainable garment using banana peel bio-material that was compared to a fast fashion garment within E-CLO. We hope to encourage consumers to make more informed decisions while shopping and consider more sustainable approaches by educating them on the harmful impact of fast fashion.
