Art Riff Machine is a generative art install based on algorithms and AI. Art Riff Machine aims to provide the user with the experience of creating artwork with AI and to improve the user’s perception of post-modernist art making. It will enable users to better understand and become more comfortable as artists in contemporary art.

Background
This project expects to explore the co-creation form of people and tools in the post-humanist era and try to understand and recreate artistic aesthetics based on the perspective of artificial intelligence. The entire project is based on the pioneering use of various algorithm engines and AI creation tools, exploration, and result-based art creation. And explore future art forms, art genres and shifts in the creative responsibilities of artists. And try to have a deeper understanding of the perception of AI algorithms and art.
From creation to co-creation –
We were inspired by the story that "Théâtre D'opéra Spatial" was awarded in the Colorado State Fair’s annual art competition. The work of Jason M. Allen, “Théâtre D’opéra Spatial,” took home the blue ribbon in the fair’s contest for emerging digital artists — making it one of the first A.I.-generated pieces to win such a prize.
Audience interaction –
The hardware side of the installation consists of two monitors by a mainframe and some decorations.
Interactive game Recording –
The software is an interactive interface based on Adobe XD and a support database. The user can create unique and unprecedented works of art by selecting genres, painting tools and styles.
We held the Popup Show near the cafe on the Kensington campus. Students who were passing by our installation during the lunchtime experienced our game.
