Knitted textile with original yarn

I am Tomoyo Yoshikawa, a knitter and weaver.

As an art university student in Japan, I studied textile design, and focused on fiber art by hand weaving, and in UK I studied knitting design especially I focused on developing interesting and innovative knitted textiles using mixed material by domestic and industrial knitting machines to make knitted garment as a final outcome. 

After I graduated from university in London, I got opportunity to work as a knitwear designer and an assistant of knitting machine operator in several companies in Milan.

In RCA, I am making textiles using original yarns that I made using different materials. I combine knitting and weaving techniques to create innovative and sustainable textiles for fashion industry.
