Justine Masché

Scanned detail of the inside of a garment.

Justine is a designer-maker-researcher who explores archival practices and taxonomies of keeping through investigating archival spaces. Her research is about collecting & archiving on the body as a contemplative method and a practice of care.

Justine’s experience lies in tailoring, which continues to inform her practice-led research how garments are carriers of personal history. Her work promotes taking stewardship over our belongings and finding systems to document our experience through making.

After graduating from UDK Berlin in 2019 with her research-design project “The Stories We Are”, Justine worked at Vivienne Westwood before joining the RCA in 2022.
