In this project, I have built a series of connected 'digital' communities to explore the relationship between physical and virtual identities, continuously responding to these complex and challenging questions through the process of finding one's own identity. With regard to the definition of 'identity' and 'digital' communities, as virtual reality we want to build communities that are de-symbolised, that map the physical world, that are parallel to the real world. They have unique rules of play with each other, are created based on the human sensory system, and are emotional spaces of escape and self-reflection, where people can stay and think. And about the question of 'identity', about who we are? Here it can be any digital person you wish to be, and identity is no longer about a string of identification numbers in the real world, but about the data and legacy of our actions throughout the Metaverse.
