Emma Money

Bioluminescent touch lamp

Emma's work aims to help create a world of living materials and products that utilise nature's properties of self-healing, self-regulation etc, while only using naturally abundant resources, in a fully circular system. Her wish is to inspire and create products that produce this world, which will alleviate some of the pressure of the global warming crisis.

She has participated in international collaborations, talks and exhibitions: the Sustainable Challenge two years running with British Council and Barcelona Design Week, a collaboration with a scientist at Imperial College London, focusing on a photosynthetic carbon negative algal paint, hosting multiple workshops in RCA, in a gallery in the Netherlands and at a concept shop in Soho. She has shown in exhibits at Shanghai’s Future Lab, MU Hybrid Art House, the Mall Gallery, Selfridges, and a pop-up exhibit for a month in Madrid. She has interned at sustainable fashion brand Palmer//Harding, Dundas, Jun Jie Liu and Phase Eight and participated in live briefs presenting practical more sustainable products for: Stella McCartney- “R for Re-purposing”, Iceberg- “Human Betterment”, Goldsmiths Vintage- “Alter-Eco”, while being nominated for the Alter-Eco Award.
