Dimitar Spasov is an artist and practitioner in the medium of digital design. A predominant theme established in his practice is the concern with examining urban culture and its comprehension by both knowledgeable and inexperienced audiences. He has an interest in investigating identity and is excited about art on the street and the stories behind it – story of the artist, story of the artwork, story of the audience and viewer. His practice explores various urban and suburban settings, analysing their differences in order to create something new and support people and communities. His works are focused on illustration, video, installation and computational art.
Dimitar obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Typography and Graphic Communication from the University of Reading, England, in 2021 and completed the Graduate Diploma Communication Pathway course at the Royal College of Art, London in 2022. He is currently enrolled in the Digital Direction MA program at the Royal College of Art.
