Cyan D’Anjou is a speculative sculpture artist and media creator with a background in technology design and innovation ethics from Stanford University. Prior to joining RCA’s Information Experience Design programme, she created tactile installations around AI’s growing presence in our everyday and the subsequent cultural and psychological changes that follow the normalisation of data capitalism. Currently, her work takes on a speculative quality as she envisions the potential impacts of current societal advancements, which she often expresses in the form of multidisciplinary sculptures, videos, and installations. Cyan is particularly interested in investigating behavioural shifts as the divide between the virtual and physical worlds becomes more blurred. A central question in her work is, “how can human expression and identity be elevated in a steadily more automated world?”
